When does my eSIM data package expire?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Your ORA eSIM data package expires in one of two ways:

  1. šŸ“… End of Validity Period

    • Each ORA plan has a set validity window (for example 7 days).

    • The countdown starts the moment you scan/tap the QR code to activate, check the ā€œTechnical Specificationsā€ on the plan details page for the exact period.

    • Once that timeframe passes, the package automatically expires, even if you haven’t used all the data.

  2. šŸ“‰ Data Allowance Is Fully Used

    • If you consume all your data (for example, 3 GB, 10 GB, or 20 GB), your package becomes unusable immediately, even if days remain.

    • The plan remains technically valid until the end of its window, but you can’t browse once the allowance is gone.

🚫 What Happens to Unused Data?

  • If your plan expires by date and some data is still remaining, unfortunately, that leftover data is lost, there’s no way to recover it.

  • To avoid wasting data, keep an eye on your usage in ā€œMy eSIM Portfolioā€ and top up before your allowance runs out.

šŸ” How to Check Your Expiry Date

  1. Log in to your ORA account.

  2. Go to ā€œMy eSIM Portfolio.ā€

  3. Select the active plan—you’ll see:

    • Expiry date (counting from QR code activation).

    • Remaining days and data balance.

Tip: If you know you won’t use all your data before the expiry date, consider purchasing a Top-Up to add more allowance and fully utilize the plan’s validity period.
