Should I delete the eSIM on my old phone?

Updated over 2 months ago

Once your data package expires, you don’t need that eSIM anymore, or if you need to free up an eSIM slot for a new plan, it’s safe to delete it.

Here’s how and when to remove your ORA eSIM:

  1. When to Delete

    • Data Package Expired: If you’ve used up all your data or the plan has ended.

    • No Longer Needed: You’ve switched to a different plan or a new device.

    • Freeing Up a Slot: Your phone can only store a limited number of profiles, so delete unused eSIMs to install new ones.

  2. How to Remove Your ORA eSIM

    • Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).

    • Tap the ORA eSIM profile by its provider name (e.g., “3HK eSIM” or “Ubigi Global eSIM”).

    • Select Remove Plan (or Delete eSIM) and confirm.

    • Once deleted, that slot is free—your ORA eSIM is gone from this device.

⚠️ Note: Deleting the profile does not cancel the plan. If you still have unused data or want to transfer your eSIM to a new device, use the “Replacement Card” option (if available) or top up via your ORA dashboard before deletion.
