Transferring an ORA eSIM to a new phone requires purchasing a Replacement Card if you’ve already installed the plan on your old device.
Here’s how to move your eSIM smoothly:
1. 💳 Purchase a Replacement Card
Visit orasim.io and log in.
Go to “My eSIM Portfolio.”
Select the eSIM plan/card you want to transfer.
Under the Installation section, click “Replace eSIM.”
If a replacement is available, you’ll be directed to the replacement version of that plan. Complete checkout to buy and pay for the Replacement Card—this generates a new QR code.
2. 📲 Install the Replacement Card on the New Device
On the new phone, open the email or ORA dashboard containing the Replacement Card’s QR code.
Scan or tap the QR code. When prompted, tap Install—no extra menu steps needed.
Verify under Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) that you see the ORA provider plan by its name (e.g., “3HK eSIM”).
3. 🗑️ Remove the eSIM from Your Old Device
Open Settings on the old phone.
Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) and select the original ORA eSIM profile (by provider name).
Tap Remove Plan (or Delete eSIM) and confirm. This frees up the eSIM slot on the old device.
4. ✈️ Enable Data Roaming on the New Device
In Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data), select your newly installed ORA eSIM and turn Data Roaming ON.
Ensure Data Roaming is OFF for any other SIMs to prevent accidental charges.
Upon landing, your ORA eSIM will auto-activate on the local network—open a webpage or app to confirm connectivity.
