Can an eSIM be tracked?

Updated over a month ago

Yes, just like a physical SIM, an eSIM can be tracked by network operators.

Your device’s IMEI and the eSIM profile’s network registration allow carriers (and, in some cases, authorities) to locate the phone on their towers or via GPS-assisted services. If you’re concerned about privacy, use trusted networks and consider disabling location services when not needed. 😊
